A Dynamic website is essentially a website whose content changes according to certain conditions. The simplest form of dynamic site is one that has a clock on it which updates the time when the web page is reloaded - as opposed to a static website whose content will remain the same when the page is refreshed.

The most common and practically useful kind of dynamic site is one that has a membership system. A membership system allows your customers to login to your site and allows you to customise the content of your site depending on who has logged in.

A content management system (CMS) gives you a control panel which allows you as the site owner to update the content of your site without having to ask your web designer to do it for you. Content management systems are typically used to update news, add photos and video clips to a site.
