About Us ~ Bottesford Web Designers

Hello. My name is Rob Butler. I am a web designer and I live in Bottesford which is a beautiful village just off the A52 in between Grantham and Nottingham, just down the road from Bingham. Technically Bottesford is in Leicestershire but we are also right near the border of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

In 2003 I moved to Wiltshire and after working for a design agency for just over a year I decided to start my own business building websites. Moving to Wiltshire and deciding to work for myself were two of the best decisions I ever made - Wiltshire is such a lovely place to live and running my own business allows me to do something that is both interesting and challenging.

In September 2010 I moved out of Wiltshire and headed north for Cumbria. The Lake District is such a wonderful place to live and I would love to return one day, but I have now moved to Bottesford in order to be closer to friends and family. Bottesford seems like a really nice place with a great sense of community so I'm glad to be continuing my tradition of living in nice places.

Most of the sites you'll see featured on this site have been built and/or designed by me but I also work closely with other people, so it does tend to be a team effort most of the time. My partner, Jo, helps with answering the phone, admin, colour advice, styling Actinic templates and generally keeping me sane. Then there's Andrew from UPPERCASE Media who lives just down the road - Andrew helps with graphic design, logo creation and the like, as well as being a good sounding board for resolving technical issues.

Since I started Matrix23 I have built over 50 websites, some of which you can see in my portfolio.
